So over the course of 2018, I was down about 10,000 dollars at the casino all lost playing table games. Last night at craps I won 8,000 dollars and at the cashier window I had to fill out paper work before I cashed in. Now my question is, will I have to play taxes on that 8000 dollars? Even though for the year I am still technically down 2000 dollars. When I check my statement online with the casino, it still shows me down 2000 dollars on the year.
Pleas help, I don’t want to spend this money knowing I’ll owe 4 grand on it in a couple of months. I’m in New York if that makes any difference.
