My temporary job is ending and I am actively searching for employment. I had a job offer for addiction counseling which I have done before and which requires a Master’s degree. The offer was on the low end in an already low paid profession. There is no way I could possibly survive on that salary, especially since I am a single mom. I am willing to let them know I am interested but that I can’t survive on what they are offering. What would you advise? Flat out turn it down, try to negotiate, or something else altogether?
