It's not quite a TIFU worthy post because I'm not 100% sure, but I may have torn down a plaster wall that had asbestos in it.My wife and I bought a house that was built in 1910, and had a reno in 2014. We want to take out a wall between two bedrooms to create a large master, so being handy we began by pulling the old plaster wall off to get visibility in what we're dealing with (we'll end up needing to put in a beam, it looks like). Except now I'm paranoid that the wall had asbestos in it. I ordered a home test kit to send into a lab, so I'll know within a week if I have to be paranoid about cancer forever.We should have tested before we started, but honestly my father in law said it shouldn't be an issue.
