As the title says, I am 18 years old and I have never had a job before, so I have never really had an income, so I do not have a whole lot of money.
I am a senior in high school currently in a dual-enrollment program at my school where I am aimed to get my AA at the same time as my HSD (this is all paid for by the state so I do not need to worry about any money coming out of my wallet). However, my school takes this program very seriously, so we are basically forbidden from getting jobs (of course there are exceptions if it is an emergency or life-threatening situation) because they want us to be only focused on our work.
On top of this, if I were allowed to get a job, it would not be very ideal for me because of how weird my schedule is (I go to school from 1:00-3:45 pm Monday-Thursday). All of the places that I have applied to so far cannot work around a schedule like that and demand more time from me, time that I need to finish homework and study.
With this being the case, I figured that I won't be able to really get a part time or full time job until the summertime after I graduate high school.
In the meantime, what can I do to earn at least something? Is a job pretty much the only way? Is my situation even excusable or am I just being lazy and can easily get a job? I honestly can't tell. I would love some advice on what to do. Thank you.
