Hi there, Pic in the comments below. I have an old switch in the bathroom that controls my exhaust/heater fan (my main lights are on a different newer switch). The old switch has 2 toggles with 3 positions each, and each time I have house guests, they typically don't know how to turn the lights/exhaust/heat off. Sometimes they've left the heat on for long periods of time thinking they are turning the exhaust off! I want to replace the switch to something easier to understand, something more modern looking. I asked an electrician to help me switch it and he said he couldn't find a compatible switch and that I would have to replace my whole ceiling unit...is that true? What can I do? I can't seem to find a switch that has 4 separate toggles. Also, is my 80's heater/exhaust safe by today's standards? I live in RI (USA) for safety code purposes. via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2EDQf6I
