Now for most maybe not super frugal, but I told my husband no material gifts and this year he decided this gift was a gift that would keep on giving....He bought a full no block dates annual pass to Busch Gardens/Sea World for both of us. We live close to Tampa, so we will utilize this often and will not need to stay overnight. Sea World is planned for 2 nights already, and got very reasonable priced hotel nearby. The cost was $600 for this membership for both of us, but it will be good everyday and for one full year. There are other perks included like concerts and special holiday events also. I know it's a lot for some frugal friends, but for us to have this outside activity and to do this together is a really grand Christmas present that will last all year. (we are 56, no kids in the home now, and home paid for)
