Hey everyone! Wondering if anyone has ever had this problem. When using a floor nailer to put in a new engineered hardwood floor, the cleats are hitting the subfloor and bending back up through the top of the floor board. Some background, we have to lay the new floor over the stick down tile floor because the stick down tiles are asbestos times. We are following the suggested installation from the asbestos company. The cleats seem to make it through the tiles, but maybe the glue underneath is what's too hard to nail through? Has anyone heard of this before? I tried finishing nails to see if the thinner nail would go through, but they bend as well. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2SC1OPF
