Single dude ready to date again after a rough breakup. I’d love to save for house. Honestly I’d buy in the suburbs and would limit social interactions at that point.
Also, buying house would seemingly feel like I was more permanently establishing myself into a more single life. But renting I’d be in a more busy area downtown by work and more willing to be out and social. Plus buying would be an exciting thing to do in a partnership with a significant other.
Not sure if this makes sense, but I’m more inclined to rent in my current situation despite the financial incentive not to do so.
