My frugal self especially appreciated my new electrical toothbrush (wished for, as I was silly enough to forget mine in a hotel in Canada) and some good quality gardening tools I needed.
I started a new job this year, and had major costs associated with the wardrobe upgrade. For Christmas I received some good quality, professional shoes and a great variety of work appropriate makeup and accessories from girlfriends.
My partner and I also both received some high quality wool slippers, allowing us to spend less on heating. I had a pair earlier, and they really make such a big difference when trying to keep warm inside!
