All right, so I know I told a lot of people from here that I would make another post if the BB retail walking coats became available again at 80% off. I have been trying to get the coats in my store for a month or to at this point, because a lot of these jackets were supposed to be transferred to outlets as 80% off clearance. I sold through my original allotment, then sold through another allotment, mostly thanks to guys from FMF. I figured out a way to order them for customers now... normally 80% off is not eligible to be ordered through our register, but since some retail stores didn't transfer out their units to factory stores like they were supposed to 2 months ago, it allows them to be ordered as long as they aren't pulling from factory stores. It sounds weird, but it works. I've already successfully ordered 3 jackets for customers. Also, just to clarify again, this is all mainline product, not factory product.
The coats in question:
Navy Walking Coat: It's the model from 2 years ago, so it's a lower regular price of $798, which comes down to $160 plus tax. There might be some minor differences regarding pockets on the inside, but for all intents and purposes it's the same coat and looks the same as the current model. Loro Piana storm fabric, very soft, wind/water resistant, etc. Guys that have already ordered it are more than welcome to comment on their jacket. Runs TTS. I don't physically have any in my store, so I can't provide measurements, but nobody that purchased them in my store went up or down in sizing. There's a few S, a few M, and a couple L available to order. I believe these were made in Romania, but I'm not positive.
Brown Walking Coat: This is the same as the navy walking coat, but in brown. And it is brown, not camel like Lyst states in the link. I like this one a lot more, but it's probably not as versatile. The thing is, you can get the navy one pretty much anytime (not at 80% off, but still), whereas the brown is a nice medium brown that you don't see as often, especially in this fabric. Loro Piana, etc. There's more of these available, and they are available from S-XL. Again, believe these were made in Romania as well.
Iconic Pea Coat: This one is 100% wool from Vitale Barberis Canonico... same model as the one linked, but a couple years old. Also, listed at $698 regular price, so $140 plus tax with the discount. I would call it TTS as well, it fits like a pea coat, a little snug in the shoulders and normal through the body. It's much softer than the factory store models as well. This one is almost gone, there's 1 or 2 S and 2 or 3 M left. I believe this one was made in China.
So, although I don't physically have these, I figured out a work-around. If anyone is interested, send me a PM with model and size, I will answer them in the order I receive them. Also, as far as shipping/returns, shipping is $9 and 80% off product is final sale. Once we place an order, we will check the order for you and make sure it gets fulfilled and shipped, and you will receive an email with tracking info. Generally, the turnaround is 2-3 days with FedEx, but if they are going across the country it might be a couple more days. Anything ordered by Friday I would expect to be delivered by next Wednesday/Thursday. If for some reason the order is not fulfilled, we will contact you immediately to process a refund.
Also, just a heads up, I do still have the jackets listed from this post available as well. I have the coach jacket available in every size still, the hooded jacket available in S-XXL, and a few size L bombers left.
Hopefully some of the people who have already ordered from me can provide some insight or possible some measurements on the jackets, since I don't have the jackets here to list measurements. Any other questions, please post comments so that they can be answered for other people to see.
