Do most people use a brokerage account or IRA? I didn't see anything in the sidebar or posts that give recommendation for one vs the other.

Should I get rid of my Morgan Stanley financial advisor? Uses up a lot of fees, but he only buys or sells when I tell her. Sometimes calls me offering me some shitty products which of course Morgan Stanley buy for themselves. What do you all think? Wouldn't it be better to just be on my own?
