My dad has been renovating the basement for years now and I'm trying to help him finish it up so it can finally be used. All that is left is laying the new flooring (snap and lock type). The tiles on the floor are old and some are cracked and some have dimples from what we assume was heavy furniture. Are these cracks going to affect the new flooring on top noticeably (not being level, etc.)? If it is, can we fill in these cracks with a filler of some sort? A solution like self-leveling concrete for the whole floor is cost prohibitive for us. We don't want to tear the old tile up as the house is old and we believe it may have asbestos.http://bit.ly/2BwZGS0 via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2BCXGYN
