I am in Pennsylvania.

So back in February I got a deadly case of Pneumonia and I had to be escorted to the hospital in an ambulance. (Note: My birthday is at the end of February, so for my ~ 2 week stay I was only 17).

Fast forward to today, I am going through some mail and I see a bill from the hospital and it says that the insurance paid nothing and the total cost that is owed is $32,000. I am on my parent's insurance but I don't really know anything about it so I am not sure why they did not cover anything. At the bottom it says that the guarantor is in my father's name.

My question is am I responsible for paying this? I am obviously freaking out but I am not sure about any of this. If my parents are actually responsible for paying this, what is their course of action? We are already in a very very rough place financially as it is so paying this off in any reasonable amount of time is impossible.

Thank you.
