Hi Reddit... I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, so please redirect if it isn't.We recently bought a new flat and had a full survey done (including a damp test), that came up all clear. We were cooking last night and these dark marks appeared in the wallpaper of the spare room, which hints to a sign of damp, but they appeared very quickly (we were cooking something particularly steamy for the first time, so all the windows in the house condensed up). We have been living in the flat for a month and the marks had never appeared, so I am a little confused as to why we're seeing them now (given the damp test was all clear and it was immediately after cooking - they weren't there when I got home and it wasn't raining). Could this be a sign of damp a long time ago that had affected the paint, and the steam within the flat when we were cooking has just brought this out (ie. is the solution just a repaint)?
