So back in August while traveling I went to an urgent care facility to address an issue. Upon arriving there I was told I would pay a $15 co-pay vs. the usual $50 co-pay for urgent care because they bill it as a office visit. Cool. I paid my $15, got my help and left.
Now last week I get this bill from the parent company of the UC center saying I owe an additional $135. It has me billed twice, charging me for a $283 office visit which it has my insurance covering and then a $150 urgent care visit which then shows the $15 co-pay I put toward it at the facility. It then reads as a $135 balance leftover.
Am I missing something here? I went to an urgent care place and I seem to be getting billed twice/over-billed. Any help/advice appreciated, thank you.
Edit: thanks for all your help thus far! Sadly all comes to a stop on weekends so I'll finally get moving on this tomorrow. The one thing that seems fishy about this to me is that they just charged my card after the fact without my consent. I feel like that's not allowed?
