I know this isn't a question, but I think this warrants some kind of discussion just because it encompasses so many common mistakes we make with money: keeping up the Joneses, spending outside our means, not budgeting, not building good habits, buying too much house, using credit card debt. But at a massive scale beyond the money mistakes most of us make. Plus, it also peripherally discusses some the structural issues in place: public schools, giving debt to literally anyone, the housing crisis.
I'm fascinated by this story and it makes me want to hear more from the couple.
