Hey guys, I'm currently facing an issue in a building with a flat roof where there is a persistent leak on one side of the building whenever snow builds up and melts. This issue is not pertinent when it rains. The owner of the building does not want to apply a permanent fix until the spring and so I'm trying to come up with a temporary solution rather than move out right away.I was thinking to drape a few layers of plastic sheeting across the top of the roof where the leak exists and staple it down over the edges (there's a raised wooden perimeter that surrounds the roof), as well as pour a bit of gravel in order to keep the plastic down when its windy. The roof currently has a layer of gravel as its top layers, what's beneath that I do not know.Is there any reason that this may be a remarkably bad idea, or any suggestions that could improve upon this? I understand that getting a solid seal this way is next to impossible but I'm hoping to at least limit the amount exposed area.Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2QA5gcL
