This week is a great time to talk to your family and friends about limiting gift exchanges. If the adults in your family are still exchanging gifts and everyone stresses about finding the right gifts - talk to each other and see if others would be interested in ending the tradition or replacing it with something you all do together. Agree to keep Christmas about the kids, and let the adults off the hook! Save everyone money and get the things you really want.
In my family it got to the point where we were just sending wish lists to each other and picking from that. Why? What's the point of this? We can all buy what we want. Spend time with each other rather than spending time shopping!
