During the holiday season there are a lot of places that have gift card specials of “buy a $50 gift card, get an extra $10 gift”. The hair salon I go to has this special through the end of the year. Getting my hair done isn’t a category I usually see discounts in, so I was thinking of buying enough to cover my next year of hair appointments. This would mean putting down over $1k to save roughly 17%.
Does anyone else here do similar things if you have the money to spend knowing that you will burn through these gift cards throughout the year?
*Note: I don’t need advice on getting cheaper haircuts/dye jobs. I am comfortable with the amount I spend for what I do to my hair. I wouldn’t be able to DIY it and it’s currently the cheapest place in town.
