New to the sub so not sure if I'm doing this right, but I'm a chick (only relevant for fit/size purposes) looking for a winter jacket this season. I'm kinda tired of buying a jacket only to realize I went fashion name-brand (disappointed at the Michael Kors parka I have) and I'm still cold throughout winter. Aaaand repeat for the past few years.
My fiancee suggested a Carhartt jacket, this one to be exact. https://www.carhartt.com/products/Weathered-Wildwood-Jacket-100815
I tried it on and I like it, but I would hate to buy it and be disappointed again this season. I'm quite disappointed at my two Patagonia jackets that were about $100-120 a piece and ended up being my transition jackets. I just want warmth and pockets. Don't really care about looks. I did really like the weight of the Carhartt, seems like the bulk and thickness would be good.
I'm also on a pretty low budget. Around $100. I pretty much only have enough for one jacket trial run this season, lol.
Suggestions? TIA!
