I purchased about 10 Pyrex containers with lids to try to generate less garbage around the house, fast forward a couple of years of fairly gentle use, and no microwaving with them on, and all the lids have cracked. I can purchase replacement lids but for the same price I could just find them new on sale. I'm considering cutting my losses and changing to an alternative container. Does anyone have any suggestions for an alternative that is a little closer to BIFL, even if the cost is a bit greater?
