Trying to put up an IKEA wall shelf in the bedroom using these self-drilling drywall anchors. They're supposed to be able to go through even studs. I've put up shelves elsewhere in my apartment without issues. Here I did use a stud finder, but if wasn't giving me clear readings, so I drilled a few holes across to see if I might hit upon a studless entry point. However, the entire wall is made of a solid material that no amount of drilling seems able to penetrate. What is this - is this a stud - and how I do drill a proper screw into it? Am I not applying enough torque or something?Closeup of the holes:https://ift.tt/2r28eM4 is the drill I am using:Ryobi 8-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Drill. Do I need a more powerful drill? Looking for solutions ... just want to get the shelf up. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2zoyNQa
