We only get a few trick-or-treaters in this neighborhood; mainly I wanted the neighbors to know they were welcome to knock. So our patio decorations were a family of ghosts.
Mama Ghost was a white table cover over an empty gallon milk jug.
Four Baby Ghosts were white tea towels over wadded paper towels.
Used white string to tie the ghosts around the patio. Set out a small pumpkin on the bench. Plus a sign on the door to say yes we have candy.
Took it all down after the last trick-or-treaters, tossed the cloths into the laundry hamper. The pumpkin was left over from an office party. The actual cost comes to about ten cents in paper towels and string.
