I'm a middle-aged, low-wage, average nobody. This isn't meant to be self-deprecating. Just a person of meager means trying to get by like so many others.
But I was wanting to invest in...something. I'm new to all this, but I have done some reading. I'd like to buy a share or two in an ETF. There are a couple from Vanguard that I'm considering in the $100 range. It's all I can afford right now, but I can see myself buying one additional share per month or so.
This isn't meant to be a retirement plan or anything. Just a tiny thing to feel like I'm doing something somewhat responsible. I'm so behind in life, but sob story aside, I thought it wouldn't be so bad of an idea.
So...would buying a share or two as a start be just a fool's effort? Or should I take that 100-200 bucks and just buy myself a cool toy or something?
