So yesterday I found out, via looking at the market and word of mouth from a colleague, that it appears my employer is underpaying me by £10k. They have been doing this for a year.
Looking at people with a similar skillset, working in the same town and the same field, it appears I could be earning £10k more elsewhere.
Where do I go from here? Should I discuss this with my current employer? If so, how would I approach them concerning this. I find it quite unlikely they would just give me an extra £10k; that seems like quite the increase in wage.
