I struggle to find decor on Pinterest that is precicely what I am looking for, maybe I could find it if I knew what the word for it is?
Features of decor style, values and lifestyle:
- I want low-tech, low-impact appliances. Made to last. They don't have to be the latest and most luxurious model, just something that will do the job for generations. Very much against planned obsolescence and single time use. If its not broken, it doesnt need replaced.
- The word "primitive" comes to mind. I wonder if I need running water. I think of designing a shower which works with gravity (pour water in a vessel at the top) and a knob controls water pressure although it would make warming water seamlessly and controlling water temperature harder.

- Small, well-designed, people-centered space. Not frivolous.
- Rustic, charming. A higher price tag isnt better.
- I currently have two pairs of shoes. I love them. I don't want any more. I drink coffee black. As a female, I carry a backpack if I need to carry things. I enjoy sitting on my rug and drinking tea. I use bentonite clay as a pain killer. I drink rice water (very subtle flavor, high in electrolytes, dirt cheap, filling, gives me clear and glowy skin) instead of sugary drinks. Instead of a wall plug or diffuser, I grind down tea wit my mortar and pestle if I want my space to smell nice (and then drink the tea!)
The images I see online of living spaces don't look the way I would like my own home... too many appliances, too much excess, too much floor space, etc. Is there a decor style or direction I should look? When I search primitive, I see a specific brand's toys, when I search minimalist, I see a lot of shiny, high-energy-use appliances. When I search country, I see camo. I'm close but no cigar.
I have found two images that I really like. One was a kitchen with green wallpaper and a caption in french that I cannot find. It looked like something from a century or more ago, but in color. The second is https://static1.squarespace.com/static/53ea6294e4b089fd92ae8f57/t/548b589ce4b068057bf36523/1418418332515/adult-treehouse-camp-wandawega-lake-resort-wisconsin-10.jpg?format=750w
