I've used the double sided tape that came with the kit, and by spring, they often become 'papered, powdered, and brittle' or have a real sticky sort of mess.

In addition, after some experimenting, I've realized that I can reuse the sheets if I peel them off carefully, and can repair with some packing tape if necessary.

I've found an old roll of double sided green painters tape, and after some cleaning of the window frame, I've used it to install window film with fairly good results.

I don't trust the shear adhesion force of the green tape, so I managed to install the film with little wrinkles, and no need to use a hair dryer.

It works fairly well if you lay it down once right the first time.

My only concern is what the long term prospects are?

It's the green brand, so can I expect that I can remove the film and tape with no problems months down the road?
