After doing the math, I realized I’m spending close to $500 on food every month. I eat out for lunch every day, and for dinner some days as well. Factor in dinner/lunch dates and I’m spending a disgusting amount of money on food. (I live in the US btw)

Tonight I’m buying rice, frozen veggies, beans, and soy sauce so that I can start making myself meals that cost less than a dollar per serving. You guys are all much more experienced with this than I am, so I’m here to ask for help.

What food choices would you recommend so that I don’t get sick of the lifestyle change and revert back to the old bad ways? Is a dollar per serving too little? Any insight/comments/thoughts are welcome
