My partner and I just moved into our first independent place because family is awful, whatever, super exciting! It's a nicely sized RV we're renting, and the only utility we pay is heating- that's 30 dollars every time we refill our propane, which lasts maybe a week when it's as cold as it is right now (ran out in the night, woke up and it was 43 inside).

Generally, propane is in our budget, but this and next month are full of some expenses that are making things uncomfortably tight, especially when we're just getting on our feet as 'adults'. Honestly, I could live with the cold since I have socks and blankets, but we have four reptiles (we've had them all for a while now, and I would feel horrific rehoming them just because I'm briefly in a rough patch, and all their care is so affordable + good for my mental health), and if it gets too cold they could be in serious trouble. Their heaters on high + lots of blankets for insulating their cages is what we got now.

A space heater would work (and we don't pay for the electricity bill), but it worries me to keep one running inside when I'm sleeping. So... any advice on how I and my herps can make it through Arkanaas's winter in a poorly insulated RV without spending ~300 in two months on propane? Sorry for rambling.
