I live outside the US (Egypt). My average income is equivalent to 500$/month. I've considered CDs with an APY of 5.25% for 5 years without touching the interest, thus it would be renewed at the new accumulated base for as long as possible (10-15 years?). What are other ways I can make use of this sum that it's plausible that I can have a small/solid side business (= stop working for corporate) at most in my 40s?
