Hello All,I'm having a garage built under my house and it's taken 2 1/2 years and I've basically fired my builder. So can't ask him this question.I'm finishing off the framing myself, before putting on the builders paper and then some treated plywood cladding.I have one question though, in the below picture you can see the new concrete block wall (also the new foundation) backfilled with gravel. (I've since dug away the gravel at that edge, it'll be a bit below the level of the floor)I'm not sure how to join the plywood cladding to this concrete wall. There will be a stud on the unpainted edge of the wall (facing the camera) it'll need to have a 6mm overhang to stop any capillary action by water and the cladding will overlap the black edge of the wall, but this wouldn't stop any rain from entering from the side. I could wrap the cladding around the wall to end at the other corner, which you can't see, but it's opposite the unpainted side, but with only a 6mm overhang, the cladding would be hanging from the bottom plate at the top of the concrete wall, I wouldn't be able to attach any studs in only 6mm of space.https://ift.tt/2Qcs1mP I should just have the cladding over the black side and seal up the gap?I'm in Auckland, New Zealand. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2D06jPt
