I want to take the opportunity to try a heap of recipes while we are here and see if we like certain things without having to waste it if we don't.
We are looking forward to just being able to go to local markets and stores to get things like cheese, pork, chicken, seafood and veggies.
I feel so overwhelmed with all the things here... I have no idea where to start! All I've got so far in my head to make is dahl and wholemeal grain/seed bread.
So what would you make? Where do I even look to find good recipes?
We've got 7 weeks here, two kitchens to cook in and plenty of utensils and cooking pots etc. and things like blenders, food processors and a couple of vitamix things. But the closest town is 25 minutes away and the tiny supermarket there doesn't sell things like cows milk or mushrooms. The next town is 45 minutes away and sells more stuff but not much more eg. only 1 brand of cows milk and 2 brands of butter
