My older sister (26) has never been frugal and doesn't save. She'll spend what she has on eating out, shopping, her boyfriend. She's just not a future looking person. It's odd bc my parents are extremely responsible and frugal with money. Her financial choices make them cringe. She just told them today that she and her bf got a credit card in her name and that's how she's been doing more shopping recently.
My mom wants me to talk to her since my sister won't talk about it with my parents. I don't think it's my place to tell my sister what to do financially? Even though she will likely be screwed and get into credit card debt. And even if I did, I feel like you can't really change/reverse someone's view on spending, saving, and frugality?
I don't know what to do. I'm worried about her, but I also don't think there's anything I can do about it.
