My dad has been laying down new laminate flooring on the entire second story of his house. I've been trying to help him figure out how to finish the last section at the top of the stairs. There is some random metal bar that is raised up slightly above the concrete. The metal is very soft and dented; it looks to be aluminum or tin. This keeps the laminate from laying down flat. He's tried self leveling concrete two different times and it seemed to make the slope of the floor even worse so he used a power chisel to rip it all up. Any suggestions on how to lay flooring over this obstacle? Thanks for looking! Pics in the imgur linkhttps://imgur.com/a/8gybMwG via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2PKNkPs
