Hey guys,
Any advice would be mega appreciated.
So in 2013 i studied Journalism (UK) and about halfway into my second year a close friend of mine took their life in our house one evening. I pretty much instantly dropped out. Here comes the big mistake on my part. I transferred the following academic year to a history degree. (This is now year three of student finance although they're happy at this point to pay for another two following tuition fee payments) I was a dreadful fit for the degree, I'm not in any sense and academic and couldn't concentrate for the life of me, that and I also figured out I just had to get the hell out of that town. So. I dropped out again. Which I'm fully aware reflects very poorly on me.
I went home to my folks. Saw my family doctor and was diamgnosed with ADHD which helped teach me not only how to actually study properly but also gave me the chance to figure out what I'm ACTUALLY suited for.
In the two years since then I've moved back up to the North of England and am living with my current partner. I'm hoping to study the 'Open Degree' withj the open university so that I can transfer the credits I've already earned and finish in a field that's a better fit to what I'm capable of (IT and software engineering).
DO I have any chance of getting those loans through from Student finance England to finish my education?
If not are there any loans you guys might be aware of that could help me out regarding two years of tuition through the OU (roughly £11,000)?
Any thoughts or advice would be super appreciated
