So I tried to purchase the BR x Kevin Love Italian Melton Double Breasted Topcoat using the BRSECRET40 code that was posted here a few days ago to knock off 40% from the full price. At the shopping bag page, there was a promo advertising that if I opened a BR credit card that another 25% off would be applied to the purchase. As seen in this screencap here: https://imgur.com/qyDKtZB. So I opened a BR credit card account, and took the subsequent credit score hit from the inquiry.

Once I tried to checkout though, the 25% promo would not apply. So I called customer service and I was informed that, even though it was clearly advertised on their website in the shopping bag before checkout, that they would not honor this promo.

Now, this wouldn't be so bad if that was their company policy, I actually have no problem with that. But A) they shouldn't advertise this promo, B) they shouldn't allow the stacking of discount codes in the shopping bag before checkout and C) I was offered no compensation for letting them know that my credit score took a hit for this whole debacle.

So I know I'm just ranting here a bit, but I thought I should let my fellow redditors here on /r/frugalmalefashion be made aware of my experience with BR customer service and to better inform you all with your future purchases with them.
