I'm working on building a table for a friend out of an old giant wire spool they... acquired from a construction site. It's old and weathered, and they like the look, but it's not the most conducive top for a table. My thought was to pour some epoxy to get a thin, level surface, but keep the look they wanted. However, I've not worked with epoxy, and most of the projects I've seen have had straight sides, so I'm not sure how best to go about creating a mold to pour the epoxy in. My research hasn't turned up much, other than what kinds of materials epoxy won't bond with. I'm guessing finding some sheet of garden siding in one of said materials may be my best bet, but I figure I'd turn to the experts. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2qtKG2x
