Hey everyone! My best friend's favorite artist is ODESZA and their symbol is an icosahedron, and Christmas is coming up. During their shows they usually have just the outline of it over them lit by LED's shown in this video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEOkie5rKxEYou can see it hanging above them throughout the entire showI plan to make the symbol out of wood and attach LED's to it, preferably ones that respond to music. However, all of the LED strips I seem to find only flash to music, very fast, and don't do anything but flash repeatedly. It's almost blinding how bright they are and how frequently they flash.I have 2 questions: What would be the best way to attach the LED's to the wood frame and also diffuse the lights so they aren't so bright, and look like one continuous light of color instead of a bunch of bulbs2: Would it be possible to connect each LED segment in such a way that there was no gap at each corner of the frame? I'd prefer it to be a continuous stream of light all the way around.Thank you everyone! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2DszFG7
