Looking to move cash savings into a high-yield savings account. Ally, Capital One, and Discover all currently offer 2% APY. I've never used an online-only bank before so moving away from brick-and-mortar is a little odd to me. Anyone with experience with the above 3 banks or a different one not mentioned here? Are you required to open a checking acct in order to open the savings acct? Is there a required monthly transfer from checking to savings in order to avoid fees?
