Hello,I am planning to mount the 75" and 80lbs tv (samsung nu8000 to be specific) to the wall and I have some questions that I haven't been able to find the answer to. A lot of the posts that I see and specific questions relate to 60" or smaller TV and it makes me nervous that the same principals won't apply to bigger TVs.Pictures for reference for the set of questions. The center of the wall is roughly where the middle stud is and this is where I would like to have the center of the TV.https://imgur.com/a/t6cbGKsThis is the Mounting bracket I have been looking at:https://www.amazon.ca/Mounting-Dream-One-Piece-Centering-MD2268-XL/dp/B07176GBXQ/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1542937729&sr=1-3&keywords=MD2268-32Thankfully, I have full access to the back of the wall where I am planning to mount the TV so I can clearly see the studs. While doing this, I noticed that 2 of the central studs do not go all the way of the bottom, and as far as I can tell I don't think they are resting on their lower end. (picture 1). The top of the studs seem firmly in placed with good support and the studs themselves feel pretty solid (picture 2).The studs also have these weird channels/cuts vertically all the way from top to bottom and a few horizontally. Not sure if this will cause any issues for hanging heavy items. (picture 3)Can I use the leftmost stud and the right most stud to install the mount? (32in apart)Could I use the center stud and ether the left or right stud to install the bracket? (~16in apart) I am not 100% sure how centering works on wall mounts and if the mount installation to the wall itself has to be centered (or if that can be adjusted once the TV is placed by shifting left to right on the bracket). having studs 16in apart gives me a bit more flexibility on which mounting bracket to buy.If I can't use the studs themselves, I was thinking of attaching the mount to the drywall. Is this doable for 75" tvs? Does the mounting bracket need to support dry wall? A lot of the ones I have been able find on amazon only mention studs.Any help is appreciated! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2S6yVus
