Several years ago I bought a ~$50 bidet on Amazon. An investment I once thought I'd never make as the idea of having one in my home had previously struck me as funny/strange. But after reading/hearing so many testimonials on how incredible they are I decided to give one a try. And pretty much just as the many testimonials I'd read after my first use I also swore to never again live in a home without one.

But in addition to the 'freshness' aspects of a bidet one thing that was somewhat of an unplanned benefit was finding out that the household need for TP had dropped by ~75%. The only need for it when you have a bidet is to dry off.

The savings in TP over the past few years has more than paid for the $50 bidet. And it's still as good as new. I'll refrain from mentioning the brand/model as I don't want it to appear I'm schilling for them. And honestly the tech is so simple any of them around this price will probably be very comparable. The reviews attached to them should help you find the best fit for you anyway.

I just purchased a cold water one so the hookup literally took like 15 minutes:

Remove toilet lid, place the bidet on the toilet, 'bolt' the toilet lid back on with the extra long new 'bolts' that are included, connect the bidet to the cold water line located by your toilet (cables and splitter included). And done.

NOTE: There are many videos on Youtube for reference.

If you buy one with a warm water option you have to run a supply line from a nearby sink. So the installation is a bit harder. But still pretty simple. But honestly the cold water isn't any problem IMO.
