I've been a frugal person ever since college days due to being on my feet financially, and that mentality hasn't really been shrugged off even when I had surplus money from full-time work. I just can't justify paying full retail price for a piece of clothes that's going to be out of trend two or three years from now.

I'm back on being a FT graduate student and living on budget again. Even though living frugally, I'd love to look somewhat stylish. I could tell what's dated and what's in even though I am not a fashion snob because that's what most of the women my age range are wearing. For example, high waist tight jeans is on and I have none at the moment. Most of the time I shop and look out for good finds from thrift store and it's hard to find current kinds of stuff there most of the time, mostly are from 6-7 years past. So, What's your mix and match tips?
