Seems like every time I go to any thrift store in my area, there are always several slow cookers for sale. My gf even found one on the street that we brought home, cleaned up, and used a few times. (She lives in an area where many people put out usable decent things in front of their homes free for the taking.)
So what's the deal with slow cookers? People buy them and never use them, and then give them away?
I've used the cooker she found maybe 4 times in the past year...I don't have a lot of uses or experience using it, so there is a lot of guesswork in using it.
