For a project I'm looking for a way to secure an object (like a bicycle) with a rope (in the air), and be able to pull that rope taut, without it being able to come back down.A picture for clarificationThe object's position is non-permanent, so I should be able to let the object come down if needed. It won't have to take much load. (Maybe about ~50 kg (~100 lbs)) Of course it would be possible to just tie the rope to a pin or something, but that's sub-optimal for my use case.My original idea was to use a one-way pulley, but those turn out to be really expensive and hard to find. Hence I was wondering if you'd have any ideas? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2CcwfXF
