The desk I had at first was built by me to provide as much space as possible for all my stuff. But after a while I realized that it is just getting more and more wobbly and I want something sturdier. The first picture is my old setup. and then the process of building the desk.If you have questions. Just ask :)Since I'm still a beginner at woodworking and the space I hace to do stuff like this is limited I couldn't really use some cool or fancy joints or other stuff. In my next build I will definitely try to use that a bit more because it just looks nicer when the wood is just connected by itself instead of using metal joints. :)I used some sort of varnish to color the wood black or brown and still preserve the wodden texture. The wooden beams at the back are used as means of cable management because I couldn't think of a better solution. I originally wanted to add a compartement for all the cables but I couldn't really do this because of the drawer. But now it's easy to access the cables and they are still rather hidden where they are. After building the whole thing I realized that it was actually a little bit too low. I originally used 70cm for the legs but after using the table a few times I decided to make it higher so I added two more 10x10cm beams under the legs. You can see that in the second to last picture.Adding them was a lot of work because the whole table weights just sooo much :/For indirect lighting I also added a strip of WS2812 LEDs which I controll with a ESP8266 controller. They have a few cool effects with them and I'm currently in the process of making them accessable with Alexa and making them respond to sound sometimes :DBut it's basically just indirect lighting :)As I said.
