I’m 27 years old, working full time but drowning in credit card debt. My debt is still in 4 digits figures and I make the monthly payments but with interest I feel like I’m not making any headway. After I pay all my personal bills (rent, utilities, gas, groceries, Etc) I have nothing left to spend and my partner is left to pay for anything “fun” we might want to do and it’s not fair. It’s been suggested to file for chapter 7 bankruptcy but my debt isn’t even high enough for that. What is my best solution? My mother in law suggested that I call the banks I have cards with and ask if they will freeze my accounts and interest fees so I can pay on a balance, others have suggested a debt consolidation company.
