My boyfriend has a pair of 1460 Triumph style Doc Martens in black. His grandpa, who basically raised him, got them for him right before he committed suicide. Needless to say, these boots are extremely important and sentimental to him.

Problem is, the soles are falling apart, the leather is peeling away at the seams, and the triumph style 1460s have been discontinued. I'm trying to find something similar everywhere, but as I am a nerdy ass girl with the fashion sense of a lazy middle schooler, I have absolutely no knowledge of high quality fashionable men's boots.

Any brand recommendations or look alikes would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking for something preferably with a toe cap or a buckle, around the 200 dollar range, and not Doc Marten brand. His boots are only five years old and they're basically crumbling apart. Something this sub should be familiar with--they just don't make them like they used to.

I've already looked at Doc Marten 1460 smooths and Solovair 8 eye derby boots, but he really misses the buckle and toe cap.
