I’ve been doing some research after my immersion blender given to me as a gift died after a few years (it was quality, some brand sold through Williams-Sonoma at the time that I can’t get fixed)

I’ve been looking into the Bamix immersion blenders but the newer ones use chrome-plated brass for the shaft instead of stainless steel, not sure about durability on that one.

Seems like everything I look into has some major design flaw. I checked the side bar and didn’t see any explicit recommendations for immersion blenders- does anyone have any insight?

I use(d) my immersion blender mostly for soups and curries and such, less so for smoothies or crushing ice but the option would be nice without wrecking the motor.
