I came here a year or two ago (probably somewhere in-between) asking for help with my finances under a throwaway account. I was in a tremendous amount of debt! I found this subreddit quite helpful.
To keep it short, I didn't finish college. While some advised me to do so, I didn't feel comfortable making that choice while having such a heavy burden of debt on my shoulders already. However, I did decide to make a few better career moves!
I now have a higher salary than I did two years ago. I've been lucky enough to get to the end of this long, dark tunnel of debt. I've made a lot of sacrifices (like having essentially no social life for the last 2 years), but by November 15th, I'll be free of all my debts!!
I'm celebrating my 29th birthday soon. Does anyone have advice for someone close to entering their thirties with a blank slate??
I don't know much about money, so I'd even love some book recommendations, if that's a possibility!! I'm frugal and I know how to budget, but... what else can be done beside that?? How can I learn more about money?? How did you learn about money?? I feel so lost. My job has a 401k & I signed up for it, but I received the paperwork in the mail & I don't know what to make of it!!
