My parents are loaning me $20,000 to pay for a garage I am having built. I will be paying them back monthly, if they write me a personal check and I deposit it into my account, would I be required to claim any of it on my taxes as income? Is it smarter to have them write the check paid directly to the builder of the garage to avoid any tax questions... I live in PA if it matters
